Tourist attractions of island redang

Malaysia is one of the major tourist destinations in Asia as well as rest of the world. Redang Island, Malaysia is one such island of the country. It is located 45 km away from Terengganu. Redang archipelago consists of nine islands namely Lima Island, Paku Besar Island, Paku Kecil Island, Kerengga Besar Island, Kerengga Kecil Island, Ekor Tebu Island, Ling Island, Pinang Island and Redang Island.
Redang Island is a haven for nature and wildlife lovers; the island features stunning marine fishes, turtles and coral reefs. In fact the island has been designated as Pulau Redang Marine Parks and the administration is trying to preserve the islands' unique ecosystem. The island boasts of 500 species of live corals, more than thousand species of invertebrates and about 3000 species of fishes, which include manta rays, stingrays, sharks and whale sharks, all of which live in harmony in the reefs skirting the islands.The island is a haven for adventure seekers; it is home to numerous adventure sports and activities. The island will offer you the opportunity to participate in activities like diving, boating, snorkeling, swimming, sailing and scuba diving. The whole island is a photographer's delight, the coral reefs of the island, which are ranked as one of the best of the world, will give you the chance to take some amazing photographs. There are numerous attractions in the island which include different diving spots, shipwrecks near Pinang Island, black coral garden and Mini Mount. The waters of Redang feature two historic shipwrecks. One of the shipwrecks is H.M.S Prince of Wales and the other is H.M.S. Repulse, both of which sunk during the WWII, thus laying the foundations for the Japanese occupation of Malaya. Besides these, Redang Island is also home to some of the finest beach destinations of the country. The beaches of the island are known for their spectacular natural beauty and numerous activities.
